Regulation

Siemens Metering Services is actively involved in a number of industry bodies and is a key influencer in the energy sector. We regularly contribute to and host working groups, and review regulatory consultation papers.

Our aim is to share our knowledge, market experience and best practice with regulatory bodies for the benefit of the market and our customers. We do this by providing access to our industry experts, by sharing market insights and technological advances, by reviewing research papers and by providing feedback on regulatory issues. We also act as advisors to the regulator.

As a result of our involvement, the regulator is able to make decisions based on validated information. The unbiased information and insight we provide helps the regulator to interpret data, make decisions, formulate rules and debate regulatory issues. This involvement also helps our customers to operate their businesses more efficiently and effectively.
